Nozzle classification
● Nozzle type: ZCK represents long multi-hole type, ZS represents axial needle type, ZK represents multi-hole type, etc.
● Spray angle: refers to the angle of the conical surface formed by the fuel sprayed by the nozzle. For example, parameter 150 means that the spray angle is 150°. This angle determines the distribution range of the fuel in the combustion chamber and the mixing effect with the air.
● Needle valve body large end outer diameter size: Indicated by letters, such as R corresponds to 16mm, S corresponds to 17mm, T corresponds to 22mm, etc. This size affects the matching installation of the nozzle and engine-related parts.
● Number of spray holes and spray hole diameter: For example, 435 means there are 4 spray holes with a spray hole diameter of 0.35mm. The number of spray holes and the diameter jointly affect the injection speed, atomization effect and injection amount of the fuel. Generally speaking, the more spray holes and the smaller the diameter, the better the fuel atomization, but the higher the cleanliness requirements for the fuel.
● Injection pulse width: refers to the length of time that the engine driving computer controls the injector to inject each time, in milliseconds (ms). There is no fixed standard for the injection pulse width, which will vary with the engine speed, load and intake volume. The general pulse width range is between 1.5ms and 2.9ms. The larger the value, the longer the injector opens for injection each time, and the richer the mixture obtained by the engine; the smaller the value, the shorter the injection time and the thinner the mixture.
● Solenoid coil resistance value: The injector can be divided into low resistance and high resistance injectors according to the resistance value of the solenoid coil. Under normal circumstances, the resistance value of the low resistance injector is about 2Ω-3Ω, and the resistance of the high resistance injector is about 13Ω-16Ω. By detecting the resistance value, it can be determined whether the electromagnetic coil is faulty. Infinite resistance value indicates that the coil is open, too low resistance value indicates short circuit, and resistance value much higher than the specified value indicates coil aging.
● Working voltage and current: The working voltage of a general gasoline vehicle fuel injector is 12V. When the injector needle valve is opened, a current of 12A is required, and when it is kept open, only 2.6A is required. At the moment when the injector needle valve is opened, the injector will apply a voltage of 65V. The current should not exceed 12A, otherwise the nozzle will be distorted.
● Spray hole processing accuracy: The spray hole diameter is generally between 0.08mm-2mm, the hole depth is generally between 1mm-3mm, the hole processing accuracy is required to be plus or minus 0.003mm, the surface roughness is required to be less than Ra≤0.4μm, and the single hole processing time must be controlled within <30s. These parameters ensure the injection quality and reliability of the injector.
